Sundaranga Jaana is the story of Lucky, an absent minded botanist who keeps forgetting things and events. He is supposed to marry the daughter of a senior Botanist, Panduranga Rao, arranged by his father. However, Rao learns about the absent mindedness of Lucky and breaks off his daughter’s marriage with him. But soon, Lucky meets a girl named Nandana and falls head over heels in love with her. He pretends to be a philanthropist and hides his condition of forgetfulness from her. One hurdle in their love story is Ajay, a police inspector who also falls in love with Nandana and is trying to impress her unaware of Lucky’s condition, he and Nandana are getting close.
