The story revolves around Muthu, who works for Sahukara. Muthu is a faithful servant to Shashikumar. Sahukara is smitten by theatre actress Ranganayaki and wants to marry her. Ranganayaki however loves Muthu. When Sahukara comes to know about this he throws Muthu out of the house. Behind this is Shahukara's uncle who is plotting to usurp the property. Maharaja enters the scene and then it is revealed that Muthu is the real owner of the estate and why the truth was kept hidden
